The Gibson Guitar Tour Bus rolled into Sonisphere for the UK’s newest metal festival, now in its second year, over the weekend July 30th to August 1st. The 2010 Sonisphere Festival took place on the grounds of Knebworth House, a beautiful stately home which, over the years, has hosted legendary concerts by Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Queen and Oasis.Over the three days, up to 180,000 hardcore metal fans rocked to some of the fiercest and most mind-blowing bands on the planet, including Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Alice Cooper, Europe, Placebo, Papa Roach, Fear Factory, Anthrax, Mötley Crüe, Gallows, Bring Me the Horizon, Pendulum, Alice in Chains, Skindred, The Cult, Slayer, Iggy & The Stooges, Skunk Anansie, Corey Taylor, Soulfly, Slaves To Gravity, Good Charlotte, Little Fish and Lacuna Coil.
The 2010 Sonisphere Festival was made up of ten one-day festivals across Europe, with an eleventh festival in England spanning three days. The festival tour has had a core group of bands that played each of the European dates with numerous extra bands added to each date individually.
The Gibson Tour Bus was parked exclusively in the media and artist area for the bands to conduct their interviews and to perform an exclusive acoustic track for Gibson.com. Artists such as Joey Tempest and John Norum of Europe, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, Karnivool, Bring Me the Horizon, Papa Roach, Audrey Horne, Sylosis, The Casino Brawl, Fei Comodo, General Fiasco, Blitz Kids, Failsafe, Slaves To Gravity and Little Fish all took time out to visit Gibson Tour Bus.
